In my forthcoming book, this ongoing project explores identity and existentialism in Post 9/11 veterans as they navigate life post service. This long-term project will culminate in collection of photo essays on veterans across the United States, in a published hardcover book. This project represents 5.2 million veterans spanning the twenty plus year long campaign that involved 85 countries.

I use my personal experience of finding myself after struggling with PTSD and core belief shattering realizations that followed my six combat deployments as I interview and photograph veterans. There was a distinguishable time in my life where my world view shifted, and my identity stripped; it's in these moments that we question our past, we fear our future and lose our present self, yet we find ourselves. It's in that pivotal moment that this project exists explore these often private and life altering realizations.
